Don’t underestimate your child know you child
As we perceive it every thing we do either in our profession or in personal life we do it for our family.
“CHILDREN ARE NATURAL MIMICS : THEY ACT LIKE THEIR PARENTS DESPITE THE ATTEMPTS TO TEACH THEM OTHERWISE” |
|
The above statement is shocking but true! Children are copycats. They learn not by listening but by seeing. They reflect parental behavior- how we talk, behave, deal with issues and situations moulds the way our children think and act. To understand what I’m trying to get at I would like you to answer the following question: (a) How many times have you hugged your child? (i) In the last 24 hrs? (ii) In the last one week? (iii) In the last one month and one year? (b) Have you ever actually tried to listen to your child when she wants to communicate something to you? Or do you simply assume what he/she is trying to communicate and stat giving your advice/lecture/sermon………? (e) Do you ask your child how their day was at school and have enough patience to listen to their interesting stories (however incoherent they may appear in the beginning but you will start liking them once you actually start caring for your child!!!) (f) Do you tell your child at least once a day they you love them? (g) How many times do you lose patience when dealing with your child? (h) Are you friendlier with kids other than your own? (j) Do you ridicule you child when he/she tells you something (you consider absurd)? (k) How many times do you go up to their level and play with them like one of them?
The list goes on and on…
